ENG
In Buenaventura, a Colombian seaport city, Alex mystifies his past experiences and violence gets hold of his present. Maria arrives to Montreal, from the Philippines, to discover life is not quite similar to what she has seen in pictures. David joins life in Mexico City after leaving behind the indigenous community where he was born. The alienated lives of these three youngsters reflect loneliness, and the search for a sense of belonging. These existences are marked by the condition of being an orphan, by barrio life and the need of finding an identity, which is always defined by others. Alex wants to get rid of his criminal past and make an honest living; Maria just became an orphan and tries to adapt at all costs to her new life in Canada. David moves to a megalopolis and meets a punk gay who introduces him to an alternative lifestyle.
